Compelling, Hands-on & Designed for Girls

A leader in STEAM education, Foxcroft offers an innovative curriculum that addresses challenges facing tomorrow’s workforce and provides relevant, stimulating — and even life-changing — learning experiences.

The STEAM initiative is evident in many activities of daily life on campus and the focus of a number of extracurricular activities that offer plentiful opportunities for hands-on learning to continue beyond the classroom.

Before coming to Foxcroft, I was not a science person. However, I've ended up finding my happy place within the STEM Department. From spending countless hours in the basement of Schoolhouse to getting off campus and stream monitoring our local creek, the STEM Department has supported me through all of my crazy ideas.

— Eva B. ’23, STEM Concentration Graduate

Collaboration across disciplines is an essential part of the Foxcroft academic experience. In the STEAM curriculum...

...a Biology student can learn our on-campus ecosystem while documenting findings in a digital app, contributing to research-grade data;
...Engineering students can utilize the power tools in The Innovation Lab to respond to a need of an organization in our local community or across the globe;
...Student artists can enhance their composition skills while learning more about the local flora during a cyanotypes lesson or an experiential art event.

And more!
